EGG PLANT    Solanum melongena
Gretel image Gretel 55 days. These beautiful, shiny white eggplants grow in clusters on compact plants that can fit into small gardens or large containers. Despite its size, you can expect big harvests of these mild, tender fruit that are perfect for grilling or sauteing in olive oil. Pick eggplant at 3 to 4 inches long for the finest quality and harvest often to encourage more fruit set.
Hansel image Hansel 55 days. This gorgeous non bitter eggplant can be harvested all the way from a tiny 2 inches up to a more mature 10 inches long, while staying mild with few seeds. Glossy, deep purple finger shaped eggplants appear in abundant clusters throughout an extended season, so there is plenty of tender fruit for casseroles, grilling or even stuffing. Compact plants grow no more than 3 feet tall, suiting them well to small garden spaces or to containers.
Ichiban image Ichiban 61 days. Long, slender deep purple, alomost black eggplants are of Asian origin, and have wonderful, mild flavor, perfect for Oriental dishes or simply splitting and grilling or roasting. Plants are very productive and feature foliage with a purple tinge as well as fruit with a purple calyx.
Patio Baby image Patio Baby 45 days. Ideal for containers. This thorn-less, compact variety provides incomparable early and sustained yields of 2-3 inch long, egg-shaped fruit on plants no taller than 24 inches. The almost-black fruit are deliciously mild with less bitterness than comparable varieties. All America Selections honors.
PEPPER    Capsicum annuum
Ancho image Ancho 76 days. Also known as pablano peppers; pablanos are among the mildest of chili peppers. Pablano peppers are black-green when immature and turn dark red with age. After drying, pablanos may be dark red (ancho chile) or brown (mulato chile). These thick-skinned peppers range between 3 and 5 inches long and 2 to 3 inches wide. They tend to have a shape that is roughly heart-like, and terminate in a blunt point.
California Wonder image California Wonder 75 days. Heirloom. The standard bell pepper for many decades, this 1928 introduction is still the largest open-pollinated, heirloom bell you can grow. Consistently produces 3 inches X 4 inches, 4 lobed fruit.
Ghost Chili image Ghost Chili One of the world's hottest peppers, if not the hottest, with readings in excess of 1,000,000 Scoville units! The thin-walled, wrinkled, pointed fruits reach 2-3" in length, ripening mostly to red.
Giant Marconi image Giant Marconi 72 days. An All American Selections winner. Large, tapered fruits are 8 inches long and 3 inches wide and can be picked green ro left on the plant a little longer and harvested red. The fruits mature ealier to red than other varieties.
Jalapeno image Jalapeno 75 days. Plant produces high yields of 3 inch long by 1 inch wide hot peppers. Peppers turn from dark green to dark red when mature. This is the hottest Jalapeno variety on the market and plant produces continuously all season long over a long season. Most often used when green. Excellent in salsa. A variety from the USA.
Red Beauty image Red Beauty 68 days. Plant produces good yields of 4 inches long by 4 inches wide sweet bell peppers. Peppers turn from green to red when mature. Excellent for salads, stuffing, gourmet dishes. Disease Resistant: TMV.
